The ideal candidate for this position:
- Must be computer literate - knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential
- Previous experience in a similar role is required, in addition to experience of working for a designer retail brand
- A fashion related degree is an advantage
- Must be available to start immediately
Amanda Wakeley launched her signature label in 1990 and for almost two decades has developed an international reputation for designing supremely luxurious and elegant women’s wear, predominantly due to the attention to detail, use of fabrics and perfection of cut. Amanda is self-taught and started designing clothes based on a personal passion to create utterly beautiful clothes that women love to wear. Responsibilities of this position:
The main responsibility of this job is to input retail figures into software packages. In addition to this, responsibilities also include inputting financial figures into account packages.
Responsibilities therefore are, but are not limited to, the following:
Customer Services and Sales
- Process jewellery and private client sales, sales invoices and credit notes for all retail locations and e-store on SAP, payments for Hatfield and sales/credit notes, sales/credits for House of Hanover, swing tickets for all deliveries sent out to retail
Stock
- Processing mid- or end of season stock returns to the warehouse
- Issue transfer numbers for wholesale stock returns to the warehouse
- Assist with stock clearance sales and stock takes and reconciliation of stock after stock take.
- Monitor inter-branch stock transfers between retail locations, issue transfer numbers and transfer stock on SAP
- Prepare and analyse weekly stock checks for retail locations
- Check weekly stock counts
- Monitor faulty stock which passes from retail to Garment Technologist and back again, e.g. organising couriers/postage/paperwork
- Process sales on SAP for private clients, retail locations and stock clearance sales when necessary
Lotec
- Liaise with retail locations and IT support on Lotec issues
- Compare weekly reports from retail locations with weekly reports on Lotec to ensure that data was inputted correctly
- Alert all staff when mistakes are made and help staff with user problems
- Change date for sales that were inputted at a later stage (not day of sale)
- Inform E-Tailing & Marketing Assistant about any changes
Inter branch transfers
- Find any requested items, issue transfer authorisation and check that the items have been received, then transfer items on SAP and maintain and update transfer chart
Deliveries
- Process stock transfers from the warehouse to the retail locations and end of season warehouse returns
- Inform the warehouse about all deliveries
- Print price tickets for retail locations
- Follow up paperwork from deliveries
Paperwork
- Open all office post daily and distribute to relevant staff
- Arrange payments for Congestion Charge for Creative Director
- Send out transfer books, look books etc to all retail locations when required
- Produce weekly and monthly reports and when processed give to Buying & Merchandising Manager and Logistics & Special Merchandise Manager, plus email to Creative Director, Operations Director, Retail Manager and Finance Director
- Discuss retail issues with Retail Manager and Buying & Merchandising Manager, plus monitor all daily paperwork/stock movements
Accounts
- Reconcile the accounts for all retail locations
- Input the daily sales figures from all retail location onto Lotec and SAP
- Calculate the turnover’s of all retail stores
- Any other day to day data processing as and when needed
Other
- Order and distribute transfer books, black stickers, bags, tissue paper and suit carriers etc for retail
- Be the first point of contact for enquiries for the retail team and support all retail locations
- Take part in any relevant conference calls
- Make up line books each season for retail locations
- Monitor sales incentives and forward the results to the relevant parties
- Assist the Finance Department with reconciling the accounts for retail locations
